BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS HONORS REACH FOUNDATION

At the recent 43rd annual meeting of Nutmeg Big Brothers Big Sisters, The Reach Foundation was honored with the youth mentoring organization's prestigious Community Partnership Award.  The award is in recognition of the underlying mission of The Reach Foundation -- to raise awareness, provide motivation, and generate funding for children who are in physical, financial, and social need.

HAITIAN RELIEF COLLECTIONS

                      

Efforts of Reach volunteers during February and March resulted in the collection of $25,303.22 for the American Red Cross Haitian Relief Fund.  Buckets were available at several Wolf Pack games at the XL Center, shows at the Oakdale Theater in Wallingford, a Hartford Stage performance of Motherhood Out Loud, and Bushnell performances of The Lion King.  Donations were also received at Crazy Bruce Liquor Stores in West Hartford and Bristol and were matched by the store management.  The picture shows representatives Bushnell Management and The Reach Foundation presenting a check to representatives from the American Red Cross.
